Position Description: The Senior Manufacturing & Process Engineer is responsible for determining methodology and designs behind producing parts, writing code for CNC machines, as well as creating blueprints and set up sheets for shop use.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop manufacturing sequences for NPI product, incorporating efficiency and quality by utilizing LEAN principles
- Create CAD models to include: in-process work models, fixture & gage models, inspection models
- Create CAD drawing to include: operation sheets, inspection drawings, tool / gage drawings
- Closely work with shop floor personnel when developing NPI product to achieve high FYP (first yield pass).
- Bachelor's Degree minimum in engineering (manufacturing, mechanical, industrial)
- 7+ years of relevant experience in an aerospace engine component manufacturing environment creating shop documentation and standard work instructions
- Proficiency with Siemen's NX & Dassault Solidworks CAD
- Working knowledge of the following manufacturing processes: sheet metal fabrication, milling, turning and die stamping processes
- Working knowledge of GD&T concepts
- Able to communicate effectively and efficiently within all levels of the organization
- Able to collaborate fluently in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- General computer experience
- Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in an aerospace engine component manufacturing environment
- Proficient knowledge of the following manufacturing processes: laser cutting (2D & 5 axis), press brake sheet metal forming, milling (3, 4 & 5 axis), turning, blanking & piercing, die forming
- Strong understanding of GD&T and functional gaging applications
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Working knowledge of Siemen's NX CAM & Vericut Simulation and knowledge of cutting tools and techniques
- Possible travel as required for training and multi-site support
