We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced engineer for a Fleet Lead role for the Dominion Energy Aging Management Program. The corporate Nuclear Engineering and Fuel department has one Program Fleet Lead who is responsible for program governance, oversight, and performance of the Aging Management Program for the 7 nuclear reactors in the fleet. The Fleet Lead is responsible for the following activities associated with management and implementation of the program

Ensuring that the stations have a common, consistent approach for handling License Renewal Rule (LRR) aging management responsibilities to the extent possible

Monitoring completion of commitments for LRR implementation

Coordinating responses to NRC findings, INPO AFIs, and Oversight findings

Reviewing industry operating experience to identify potential new aging effects not previously considered

Leading program self-assessments that include all Dominion Energy nuclear plant sites

Developing Aging Management Program health reports for all Dominion Energy nuclear sites

Coordinating and leading peer group meetings, Providing program-related training

Attending appropriate industry meetings on behalf of Dominion Energy

Functioning as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for LRR aging mgmt

Providing day-to-day oversight of the LRR implementation process at the stations, Providing input for design changes, engineering technical evaluations, and item equivalency evaluation reviews

Interfacing with station groups that provide support for LRR aging mgmt inspection implementation

Monitoring station reports for indications of age-related degradation, Providing input to licensing submittals describing aging management implementation

Performing annual reviews of programmatic changes in accordance with procedural guidance, Monitoring industry for component inspection guidance that is applicable for LRR

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Engineer II - 3-5 years nuclear industry and nuclear power plant engineering experience. Engineer III – 5+ years nuclear industry and nuclear power plant engineering experience.

Recognized technical expertise by other engineers, technicians, and management; Provides technical consultation to other engineers and management; Strong planning and project management skills; Strong technical and organizational leadership skills; Strong oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing); Proven decision making skills; Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems; Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices; Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks; Equally effective working independently or in team environment.

Highly preferred : Prior experience with Nuclear Aging Management Program; Familiarity with 10 CFR 54, “Requirements for Renewal of Operating Licenses for Nuclear Power Plants” and NEI 95-10, “Industry Guideline for Implementing the Requirements of 10 CFR 54 – The License Renewal Rule.” Familiarity with NRC Generic Letters, Information Notices, NRC Guides, and other regulatory and industry issues governing the Aging Management Program.

REQUIRED ENGINEERING CRITERIA: For placement of a candidate in the Engineer job series, the following criteria must be met: Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program based on the year that the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an institution outside of the U.S. which is accredited through the country's own Engineering accrediting body under the Washington Accord as a full signatory, and is a degree that was recognized by the country's accrediting body on or after the date that full signatory status was achieved, or Possess a 4-year degree in Engineering (non-ABET accredited), Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technologyand a post-graduate Engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same Engineering discipline is ABET-accredited based on the year the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, or Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license.

For Nuclear purposes only ANSI 3.1-2014, Section 4.6.1 (must be documented on form HR-AA-101)

Education: Baccalaureate degree in Engineering or related science (Physics, Chemistry, Math, Engineering Technology acceptable if all other pieces of the third prong of the Required Engineering Criteria listed in KSA section are met).

Minimum Experience for the position:

Related experience which shall include 2 yrs; Nuclear power plant experience to include 1 yr.

Note: Years of experience in job summary exceed the ANSI requirement for related experience (5+ years required for Engineer III).
