Principal Firmware Engineer

We are seeking a Principal Firmware Engineer to join our client in The Bay Area San Carlos, California, that has successfully launched a range of consumer products. This is an exciting opportunity for an embedded engineer with expertise in Embedded C and C++, motor drives, and electromechanical systems or robotics.

As a Principal Engineer, you will lead technical efforts on new product development, driving innovation and quality. The position offers a base salary of $160k - $200k, depending on experience, along with equity, health coverage, and a 401k plan.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive experience in Embedded C/C++ with expertise in motor drives
• Strong algorithm development and product design experience, particularly for high-volume consumer products
• Hardware background in electromechanical systems, robotics, or similar fields, with IoT knowledge (Bluetooth or WiFi)
• Hands-on experience with STM32 or ESP32 microcontrollers
• Proven ability to take products from concept to market launch
