About Us:

Are you a highly experienced software engineer passionate about building products involving large-scale, interactive computation? Are you interested in working with best in class technologies such as Spark, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, Python and other languages? Do you want to make an impact with a close-knit team working on the core customer-facing intelligence products powering a successful and rapidly growing company?

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Build mission-critical data processing pipelines underpinning our core suite of customer-facing social-media analytics products using Spark/PySpark, ElasticSearch and other petabyte-scale compute technologies.
  2. Work collaboratively with a small product-focused, cross-functional team.
  3. Own and develop a technical roadmap for mission critical technical components.
  4. Lead the adoption of collaborative engineering best practices within your technical team.
  5. Mentor other engineers within your team through pair/mob programming.
  6. Lead and participate in technical design sessions.
  7. Work closely with a small team of talented systems engineers working on petabyte-scale analytics systems supporting analytical workloads involving metadata for billions of videos.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  1. Design, implement, and support large-scale data processing pipelines using Kubernetes, Spark, Kafka, ElasticSearch, and more.
  2. Programming in Python, Scala, and Java.
  3. Mentorship of engineers through collaborative development.
  4. Participation in interviewing processes, as needed.
  5. Participation in the Data services on-call rotation.

Ideal candidates will have:

  1. 8+ years of experience as a senior member of the technical staff at a data-intensive engineering company.
  2. Proven track record leading large-scale engineering projects.
  3. Experience working on end-user products, ideally in enterprise SaaS is highly desirable.

The pay range for this position is: $170,000 - $230,000 per year.
