ERG is seeking a talented, highly motivated, entry-level candidate to join our team of environmental compliance inspectors supporting efforts related to the Clean Water Act (CWA). Responsibilities may include assisting with onsite compliance inspections or audits, collecting wastewater or drinking water samples, conducting desktop reviews and assessments of program documents, and developing technical reports. This position will be based out of ERG’s Golden, CO office. Technical work will be performed under the direct supervision and mentorship of experienced ERG staff.

Job Description:
  • Support in field investigations and onsite meetings related to client projects and cases
  • Perform site inspections, including evaluation of industrial processes and waters discharged to public sewer
  • Prepare inspection reports or other technical documents
  • Perform data review and communicate findings in oral and written form
Qualifications and Skills:
  • BA, BS, or MS in Environmental Science/Engineering or related discipline
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • Proficiency in technical writing and conducting desktop research
  • Ability to work alone and within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to balance multiple concurrent tasks
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally and across the United States as necessary
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to pass a public trust-level background investigation as part of the credentialing process to work for our federal clients
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 20 pounds
