Hiring Type: Full-Time

Base Salary: $100K-$115K Per Annum.

About The Role

This role is about an exceptional Principal Software Engineer passionate about developing innovative and scalable web applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications using a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

This is not a typical 9-to-5 gig. We need a strong collaborator who is willing to work hard, set high standards, move quickly, and exceed expectations. Proactivity and the ability to pivot are highly valued.

What you'll do

1. Develop and maintain web applications using various programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and launch high-quality web applications.
3. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows industry best practices and standards.
4. Troubleshoot and debug issues with web applications and provide timely solutions.
5. Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback and mentor junior developers.
6. Stay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices.
7. Work with databases and integrate with external APIs.
8. Maintain high standards of quality and performance and ensure web applications are scalable, secure, and reliable.
9. Participate in agile development practices.
10. Collaborate with the team to continuously improve processes and tools, and contribute to the development of the team's knowledge base.

Required Experience:

Operating Tools:

1. AWS services
2. Linux/Unix OS CLI
3. Nginx
4. Apache
5. Git

Range of Programming Skills:

1. Python - required
2. Django- required
3. Bootstrap - required
4. PHP

We prefer (but don’t require) experience in:

1. Ruby
2. Vue.js
3. React.js
4. Node.js

Database Experience:

1. MySQL, but bonus if you also have NoSQL experience

Designing and Implementing 3rd Party Integrations:

1. External APIs, such as social media services, OpenAI

Bonus:

1. Experience with automated testing/QA processes
2. An empathetic, client-focused, and positive attitude is a must; a passion for music is a major plus.
