Full Stack Software Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop web applications using third-party and in-house frameworks.
2. Use shared components and develop back-end services or front-end web interfaces.
3. Work with subject matter experts to clarify requirements.
4. Analyze, design, develop, maintain software products and assist in their commercialization in agreement with project technical and timing objectives.
5. Ensure that product code and artifacts are managed and safeguarded in a configuration management system in accordance with relevant procedures and guidelines.
6. Develop and execute unit tests to ensure and maintain source code quality.
7. Provide timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues.
8. Contribute to development plan by providing task estimates.
9. Turn requirements and user stories into functionality.
10. Develop server-side services to be elastically scalable and secure by design.
11. Ensure services are backward and forward compatible to ease deployment.
12. Develop web front end to be usable on multiple form factors.
13. Ensure the solution is deployable, operable, and secure by default.
14. Apply usability procedures and principles as defined at project or Product Line level or through customer input.
15. Write CI/CD deployment pipelines for cloud-based software.
16. Test applications and write end-to-end automation tests.
17. Design, implement, document, and maintain test automation programs for large-scale systems.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience in software development including experience in UI Software automation and Selenium. Proficient in Python, Java Language, REST APIs, API calls, microservices development, DataIku flow creation and plugins creation, and Cognite Data Fusion. Extensive knowledge of data structures, patterns, and algorithms. In-depth knowledge of application, cloud, and network security and Cloud platform knowledge – Azure public and private (Stack) cloud expertise. Advanced knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and cloud deployment practices, containerization and virtualization (Kubernetes), high performance computing, and scalability patterns. Advanced skills in setting up and operating databases (relational and non-relational). Basic understanding of Oil & Gas domain concepts, specifically around Well Planning, Drilling and Execution.
