What You'll do
Our engineers are the foundation of success for our customers and our business. We are seeking an Enterprise level Solutions Engineer to join our team. This Engineer works with our sales team and customers to develop solutions to solve current and future customer needs.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Leading network implementation projects including LAN, WAN, Cloud Networking and Data Center architectures
- Work with clients to Design, Plan, and Implement solutions that ensures low-risk and successful migrations or implementations of technology
- Staging of Routing, Switching and Security products across many vendor portfolios
- Planning upgrades and migrations with Clients
- Technical troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Responsibility for mentoring more junior engineers
- Other responsibilities include:
- Helping drive consultative discovery of our client's current state, and desired future state requirements
- Designing requirement-based solutions
- Developing Statement of Work documents for professional service-based solutions
- Working closely with project management and other engineers to ensure engagements finish on-time and within scope and meet client's goals and objectives

This role is customer facing and requires clear communication and strong interpersonal skills to work closely with our customers and with multiple teams within CompuNet. Candidates should have the following minimum knowledge, skills, abilities and/or education:
- Strong technical background and aptitude
- Highly perceptive; excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to diagnose symptoms, troubleshoot, and communicate issue resolution
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled at clearly articulating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with networking technologies, including Routing, Switching, and Firewalls
- Proficient at designing and deploying of different WAN architectures (both traditional and SD-WAN)
- Datacenter and Campus Switching/Routing
- Internet edge and DMZ design
- Firewall operation and configuration of Palo Alto Firewalls
- Cisco ASA/FTD experience is a plus
- Proficient with at least 2 of the following SDWAN solutions:
- Meraki
- Cisco SD-WAN
- Aruba EdgeConnect
- VMware VeloCloud
- Palo Prisma SD-WAN
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Creating technical documentation, including IP Schemas and Diagram
- Proficient with one of the following NAC solutions:
- Cisco ISE
- Aruba Clearpass
- Arista AGNI
- Juniper Mist Assurance
- PortNox
Preferred Skills, but not Required:
- Cloud connectivity and Networking
- VxLAN / EVPN Design and Implementation
- Fortinet Firewalls
- Juniper Mist
- Arista Campus and DC technologies
- Cisco Campus and DC technologies
Highly preferred skills, but not required:
- Operational and configuration experience with Cisco On-Premise Collaboration Portfolio:
- Cisco Unified Communications Managers (Call Manager)
- Cisco Unity Connection
- Cisco IM and Presence
- Cisco Unified Contact Center Express
- Cisco CUBE
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in Core Networking, Cloud Networking and Network Security solutions
- Minimum of CCNP, JNCIP, Arista ASE Level 3 or equivalent experience
- Palo Alto Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent experience
