As a Robotics Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing robotic systems at customer sites. Required Education and Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3+ years of experience in field service, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial robotic systems
- Proficiency in industrial automation, robotics programming, and control systems (e.g., PLC, HMI)
General Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of robotics, servo motors, and automation systems
- Proficiency in programming and debugging robotic systems
- Familiarity with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with effective time management
- Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment
Essential Functions:
- Install and commission robotic systems, including electrical and mechanical setup
- Perform calibration and testing to ensure optimal system performance
- Train end-users on proper system operation and maintenance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and electrical issues in robotic systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation
- Perform timely repairs and component replacements as needed
- Provide both on-site and remote technical support to address customer concerns
- Document all service activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions clearly
- Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve complex issues and drive system improvements
- Maintain a high level of professionalism to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction
- Serve as a liaison between customers and the company, ensuring clear and effective communication
- Offer technical expertise and recommendations to enhance customer operations
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards
- Stay current with advancements in robotics systems and industry trends
- Ensure all tools and equipment are well-maintained and in proper working condition
Travel:
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites (up to 75% travel)
