Role Summary/Purpose
Reporting to the Lead Piping Engineer you will be responsible for providing engineering support ensuring safe, cost-effective designs are being produced for project delivery. You will be accountable for review and approval of technical documentation as well as preparation of detailed schedules and reports. This role will see your involvement in each project phase from design through construction and operations.

Specific Responsibilities

  1. Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility.
  2. Work execution based on Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Individual Design Plan (IDP).
  3. Prepare a detailed schedule as per given overall project schedule including front end, detail design and closeout deliverables.
  4. Execute the work with the given Work Flow and Procedures.
  5. Control and management of a group of designers working for the assigned area.
  6. Prepare a progress report for the assigned work.
  7. Prepare design changes due to revision of data, P& ID, and revision requirements from other disciplines and proposes solutions where necessary.
  8. Perform technical calculations, analysis of technical queries from the site and solve non-conformances with regard to job requirements and specifications.
  9. Check and control of design revisions.
  10. Maintains, Controls and monitors Piping Quality Assurance System based on CAEL quality system.
  11. Implementation, monitoring, and control of ISMS as per CAEL Information Security Manual.
  12. Contribute LL (Lessons Learned).
  13. Perform independently piping design works based on the schedule and scope.

Requirements
Tertiary/technical qualifications in Mechanical engineering discipline are essential. Knowledge and specifications of the latest design engineering and analytical techniques and software is essential. Knowledge of piping design software, piping stress calculation methods, piping and support layout design, and piping material specification. Understanding of P&ID. Registered Engineer with valid Professional certification is preferable. Fluency in English.

This is a position for a Piping Engineer with knowledge of ASME Stress calculation exposure, Design, Pipe routing, SP3D (CAD Tool). Note: Pipe stress analysis (CAESAR) skill not expected
