The Olsson Water/Wastewater team is looking for an experienced water and/or sewer modeling engineer to perform hydraulic modeling and master planning to meet the client’s needs from conception to completion. As a modeling engineer, you will perform design calculations, create and calibrate hydraulic models, create population and demand projections, assist with report writing, and attend meetings with the client.

As an Engineer for the Water/Wastewater team, other responsibilities will include providing project design utilizing various modeling and mapping software, performing technical analysis, preparing construction documents, providing construction services, performing research, and writing technical reports. You will work closely with other team members and engineers on wastewater collection and treatment projects, along with water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution. Typical tasks you will work on include sanitary sewer piping, wastewater pump stations, wastewater treatment facilities, water piping, water supply wells, water storage tanks, and water treatment facilities.

You bring to the team:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, or a related field.
  • Understanding of water and wastewater master planning process.
  • Solid understanding of open channel and closed pipe hydraulics.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Pro mapping software.
  • 4 to 8+ years of experience with water and sewer modeling software such as InfoWorks ICM, SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS, InfoWater Pro, and/or WaterCAD.

Typical salary range for this position is $108,000 - $143,000+ and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
