Job Description - Facilities Engineer (Bakery)
General Summary
The Campbells Facilities Engineering Team is a high-performance, engineering-driven department dedicated to delivering strategic, value-based solutions and innovative technologies tailored specifically for the bakery industry. Our mission is to provide engineering leadership and expertise that supports Campbell's growth, innovation, and supply chain strategies. As a Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of the bakery facilities under your purview.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal and external facilities partners to maintain all major systems, including Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, and boiler systems, ensuring they operate reliably and efficiently.
Analyze, design, and optimize bakery-specific Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, and boiler systems, both new and existing, to enhance performance and improve energy efficiency.
Develop technical specifications and purchasing requirements, as well as "Requests for Proposals" for the execution of expense and capital projects related to bakery operations.
Create comprehensive project schedules, prepare project authorization documents, implement cost controls, and define functional testing protocols, inspections, startup training requirements, and contribute to the creation of operating instructions and maintenance manuals for new installations.
Coordinate, manage, and review contractor and vendor activities, ensuring compliance with corporate standards while effectively interfacing with department staff and impacted personnel.
Conduct engineering studies related to complex projects, effectively communicating findings and recommendations to leadership to aid in decision-making processes.
Rigorously track project scope, schedules, and budgets, providing timely updates and accurate information to the project team to ensure alignment with operational goals.
Collaborate with facility leaders and plant teams to identify and justify Capital Project Authorization spending needs and assist in securing project approvals.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate's Degree required
- 5+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing projects ($10,000-$20,000,000)
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 5+ years of engineering experience within a food manufacturing or bakery environment
- AutoCAD experience
- PMP certification preferred
Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$94,200-$135,400Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
