About the role
We’re seeking a Senior Network Engineer, responsible for overseeing the technical delivery and ongoing operational support across the organisational network infrastructure.
You’ll join an innovative team that provides input into the strategic direction and overarching governance to the technical roadmaps across both network operations and project delivery.
As our Senior Network Engineer, you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging, and exciting work.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Integrate network solutions that improve security and efficiency of Transurban operations.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of all aspects of technology infrastructure operations.
- Provide an escalation point to support Transurban operations.
- Make network security a priority and ensure the entire Transurban network is secured as effectively as possible.
- Provide advice when evaluating and selecting technologies within the Transurban environment.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including:
- Detailed understanding of networking concepts (switches, routers, protocols such as TCP/IP, etc.).
- Exposure to management of large-scale complex mission critical networks.
- Extensive knowledge of routing protocols and concepts (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc.).
- Cisco CCNA certification.
- Cisco CCNP certification.
- Cisco CCIE certification – desirable.
- Advanced configuration knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches including Nexus.
- Experience in security products such as Palo Alto – desirable.
