WHY WE NEED YOU

As an Android Engineer on our team, you will create innovative solutions that run on our mobile app and Hydrow connected fitness devices. In this role, you will solve problems, develop new features, support and refine existing features while working closely with other iOS, Android, and API developers. This is a hands-on role where you will design, build, and optimize solutions in an iterative, fast-paced environment and grow new skills along the way.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

In the first thirty days you will:

  1. Onboard with the team and understand application scope, ways of working, and team processes.
  2. Begin delivering software into production. We move fast!

In the first three months you will:

  1. Support primary feature development and bug fixes with support and technical leadership from the team’s Android leads.
  2. Support team code review and quality management activities across Android apps.
  3. Be able to see and measure that your contributions are directly improving the experience for our members.
  4. Continue onboarding focusing on the Hydrow rower application.

  • Kotlin
  • Espresso/JUnit
  • Jetpack Compose and other Jetpack libraries
  • Dagger
  • Retrofit

  • TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: You are confident in designing, writing, and supporting Android applications. You are always looking to improve your technical skills and knowledge and are eager to jump in on learning new technologies and collaborating with different team members in a transformative relationship that betters yourself and the people around you.
