Within the Global Markets division, the Alternate Solutions Group (ASG) leverages capital markets trading and technology, and is responsible for deploying and executing on a number of market-leading and innovative solutions, servicing clients in domestic and international markets.

What You’ll Be Doing

Join the Alternate Solutions Group (ASG) as a Director in the Sales and Distribution team with a focus on new client acquisition and growth-generating functions. You’ll be part of the team that focuses on understanding the FinTech industry & disruptive technologies that are revolutionizing traditional banking products and services with a particular focus on FX & payments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the expansion and growth of ASG’s product portfolio across the U.S region. The role has revenue responsibility, product development, internal stakeholder management, and client relationship management.

The successful candidate will be flexible to work hours as needed to help deliver a great client experience, which may include evenings and weekends. This role requires travel across the US Region (30% - 40% commitment).

How You’ll Succeed

  • New Client Acquisition and Partnership Growth – Deliver growth by expanding the number of clients and strategic partnerships across ASG’s product portfolio and deepen existing relationships.
  • Relationship Management – responsible for managing existing client relationships and working closely with strategic internal and external partners for lead generation and any cross-sell opportunities.
  • Client Contracting & On-Boarding Functions – responsible for contracting and on-boarding new ASG clients within the U.S. region.
  • Management of Client-Facing Materials – responsible for all client-facing conversations and materials including complex RFP documents, pitchbooks, presentation decks, brochures and digital media for new client acquisition.
  • Strategic Research – Conduct comprehensive research to assist in the identification and/or analysis of business trends and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with Infrastructure Partners - Work closely with infrastructure groups to expand product growth and capabilities.

Who You Are

  • Candidates must have a proven track record of developing and managing client relationships.
  • Understanding and awareness of the FinTech industry and disruptive technologies.
  • Education – Knowledge of Capital Markets and Financial Technology (FinTech) sector acquired through University degree and industry experience.
  • Driven to succeed – Ability to work in a results-oriented team and motivated by exceeding revenue goals.
  • Detail-oriented – Ability to multi-task in a fluid environment while maintaining focus.
  • Collaborative – Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical – Excellent analytical and intellectual capabilities.
  • Communication – Exceptional communication skills to be effective in large client presentations and meetings.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary of USD$200,000 in the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
