Stress Analysis Engineer (63Y) Level 2
Job Description:
This is a Provisional/Short term contract opening for those interested in becoming Boeing direct employees before the end of the contract. Contractors must proactively participate in direct hiring application and receive/accept a direct offer to continue employment beyond 6 months. Requests for contract extensions for this position will not be considered.
Performs basic structural analysis using well-defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics, and performance. Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Works under general supervision.
Location: 100% onsite in Everett or Renton, WA

Education/Experience:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master of Science degree with typically experience in an engineering classification from an accredited course of study, in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Fatigue, Damage Tolerance, and/or Finite Element Analysis
- Experience with applying free body hand diagrams and calculations
- Experience navigating CAD programs, Boeing: CATIA, PDM/ENOVIA
- Stress Analysis review and integration experience with suppliers and global partners
- Experience with Boeing Stress Analysis tools such as: FEADMS, IAS, SA, MossDuberg
- Previous experience with commercial airplane Wing and Fuselage structural analysis; Doors/Windows/Landing Gear Analysis; Flight controls, Mechanical Hydraulics, High lift, Electrical, and/or ECS system installation structural stress analysis experience.
