As a DevSecOps Engineer on the NextGen OPIR Program, you will:

  1. Integrate into a small, high-performing Product Team led by a Scrum Master and Product Owner.
  2. Support daily Scrum Meetings, Team Demos, and monthly Staff Calls.
  3. Work under very general supervision in support of larger team goals.
  4. Support Ad hoc tasking and stretch assignments as outlined by Program Technical Leaders.
  5. Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement, emphasize outcomes over metrics, and be a good teammate.
  6. Be able to interpret complex system requirements.
  7. The successful candidate will excel working as part of a technical team of System Administrators, DevSecOps engineers, and software and integration engineers who successfully integrate, test, and deploy complex systems to the customer.
  8. This position will be responsible for contributing to detailed design, coding new content and bug fixes, contributing to unit testing, automating unit testing where possible, and contributing to integration testing as needed.
  9. Software integration projects will vary from satellite command and control software, to satellite payload sensor management software, to mission specific software, to ground hardware & network control software.
  10. The candidate will be comfortable in an ever-changing dynamic environment and work well in an agile team.

This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates require 5+ years of professional experience and a BS degree or above.

Selected candidate must have a final Secret security clearance prior to start.

  • Experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Terraform, Selenium, Sikuli, Chef, Puppet, etc.
  • Experience with Agile process.
  • Experience with satellite ground systems.
  • OPIR program experience/exposure.
  • Experience with configuration management for test procedures.
  • Experience troubleshooting software products & implementation of defect resolution.
  • Experience in developing test procedures in accordance with technical documentation.
  • Automated scripting & unit test experience.
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira & Zephyr).
  • DOORs experience.
  • Experience coding in Python, C++, Java or other scripting languages.
  • An understanding of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
  • DXL scripting skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.
  • Experience with security classification guidelines.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance preferred.
