Software Engineer - Mid-Career

Minimum Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent STEM field from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
• Academic or professional experience using Java, C, C++, C#, Python, or similar programming languages
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration

Responsibilities

• In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals
• You will join a multi-disciplinary team and:
• Design, modify, develop, write, and implement and integrate software programming applications using agile methods
• Write source code for new applications, and/or generate and enhance code for existing applications
• Perform code reviews, optimize algorithms, and model and conduct experiments to ensure the functionality and performance of products or solutions
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
• Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
• Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software
• Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls

Compensation and Benefits

• The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $85,900 - $164,600

• Represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays
• PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year
• This position is incentive plan eligible
