Job Requirements / Description
JOB TITLE: Software Engineer
Location: New Brunswick, NJ (50% onsite)
Duration: 4 months (This is to cover a Maternity Leave)
Must Have List:
- 6+ years of experience with Database tools such as SQL
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data analysis and modeling
- Proven experience in a data science role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- Agile software development methodologies
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure); professional certification preferred
- Linux administration
- R programming language
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent professional experience
Job Description: Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with application developers to ensure the database design aligns with the application’s data access and usage patterns
- Work with a team of Service Provider’s resources to deliver integration solutions
- Collaborate with other technical groups on technology issues and solutions
- Create and maintain documentation of solutions built
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams
- Participate in recurring and ad-hoc meetings related to Build activities
- Linux (Unix) server admin experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent professional experience
- Familiarity with database tools
- Proven experience in a data science role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a team player mentality
- Exhibit a positive work approach
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure); professional certification preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience in handling and analyzing large-scale structured and unstructured data sets
- R programming language
