Civil Engineer

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Civil Engineer for a position located in Pueblo, Colorado. The Civil Engineer will be supporting large solar plants within the Southern Colorado region.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of civil engineering experience.
Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

• Work in the field extensively, collaborating with the project team to enforce specifications with the EPC contractor and address compliance issues.
• Work with our lead civil engineer on the project to be able to understand/interpret design drawings and managing the compliance of the construction to the design drawings and managing RFI requests.
• Provide information to the contractors or field construction teams, as they often require information such as specifications and drawings.
• Responsible for understanding and managing the scope of the contract.
• Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure or system. Develops functional requirements.
• Understands and applies standard engineering principles.
• Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates.
• Designs and tests components, and integrates components to produce final product.
• Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes.
• Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
• Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.

Requirements of the Civil Engineer:

• 5-7 years of civil engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space (construction or engineering design).
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or strong/commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of/familiarity with NCRs, RFIs, and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.
• Experience with ProjectWise and Bluebeam software is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
