App Support Analyst - Senior QA

Introduction:
This Sr QA position focuses on manual and automated testing of Judiciary JAVA web-based applications. The QA will be responsible for testing in areas such as functional/regression testing, data integrity, web services, application workflow, and input/output validation.
Note: This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week on-site. Preference will be given to local candidates.
Job Summary:
The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist will design, pilot, and implement software quality assurance (SQA) review processes. The SQA will collaborate with business groups and application teams throughout pre- and post-assessment phases. Reporting to the Supervisor/Team Lead, the SQA will execute functional/regression testing, SOAP/RESTful web service testing, and data-integrity testing using SQL and stored procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform manual testing for web-based applications.
• Review project work products to ensure compliance with approved procedures and standards.
• Review and monitor software development activities according to project plans and specified procedures.
• Compare actual project processes with established standards, procedures, and third-party requirements, if applicable.
• Conduct detailed reviews of tasks at interim and final stages, identifying process improvement opportunities.
• Lead software quality reviews for each project phase and produce required quality reports as per the software quality plan.
• Develop and manage short- and long-term plans for software quality across the organization.
• Perform database integrity testing by validating that data entered and retrieved aligns with application requirements.
• Manage team activities according to schedules and budgets, balancing workloads effectively.
• Coordinate and procure necessary skills and techniques to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• 12+ years of IT application experience, including development, analysis, and QA.
• 8+ years of IT application testing experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a QA lead.
• Expertise in comparing project procedures against established standards and practices.
• Proficiency with the latest technologies in quality assurance review processes.
• Strong understanding of relational database systems, including query execution and stored procedures as part of testing.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, external groups, and vendors.
