Job Description:

A top data center owner and operator in New England is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer for their Boston facility. This role will focus on the design, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical electrical systems that support the high availability and efficiency of their data centers. You will work closely with operations and facilities teams to ensure all electrical systems, including power distribution, UPS, and backup generators, are optimized for reliability and performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain electrical infrastructure for data center operations.
  • Manage power distribution systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), backup generators, and electrical safety systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement energy-efficient solutions and improve system performance.
  • Support capacity planning and scaling of electrical infrastructure to meet growing operational needs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a preference for experience in data centers or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of power distribution, backup power systems, and electrical safety codes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on system reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
