The Opportunity: The Barbie IMC Team is looking for an experienced mid-level Senior Brand Designer with a passion for branding and graphic design across all marketing and visual communication that support the brand strategy and business objectives including key art, retail, social, digital, video production, environmental, experiential, and more. Highly conceptual, overflowing with ideas, hands-on design creation, and capable of collaborating with internal and external partners.
Must demonstrate a proven track record in developing strategically driven ideas and creative assets, with a strong understanding of graphic design and typography as well as a passion for what we do every day – inspiring the limitless possibilities for generations to come!
What Your Impact Will Be
KEY RESULTS AREAS
The scope of responsibilities is hands-on, spanning across 360-campaign activations, branding, social, video production, graphic development, brand guides, print and merchandising, experiential, and more. Building trust and respect among partners is critical through collaboration, prompt delivery and creative that’s exciting, innovative and best-in-class.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Development of big ideas and designs that wow, are innovative, on-brand, on-trend and can translate across marketing communications- including print, social, digital, and video.
- Maintain ownership of work from concept through final delivery while appropriately communicating with supervisor to ensure alignment, and readdressing per feedback from leadership, brand, and marketing partners.
- Collaborate and partner with team of copywriters, producers, marketing, art directors and mentors in a positive and productive manner.
- Prioritize multiple projects at any given time, and efficiently and effectively deliver on time.
- Confident presentation skills to clearly convey ideas to managers, leadership, and cross-functional partners (for example social, video, packaging, and consumer products teams).
What We’re Looking For:
- Versed and on-top of current trends (art, pop culture, design & typography, advertising, social media, digital, entertainment, etc.)
- Strong understanding of design principles, graphic design, and typography is required.
- Fluency on social platforms.
- Video knowledge required from pre-production to post concepting, storyboard review, casting, wardrobe, editing, graphics, etc.
- Demonstrate ability to translate core branding equities and tone through a variety marketing activations.
- Ability to see large picture while not losing focus of details.
- Openness to learn from others – a growth mindset – and courage to inspire others.
- Focused on results, leveraging creative expertise and relationship-building skills to drive decision-making.
- Demonstrated organizational, presentation, and written communication skills.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills Required:
- 4-7 years minimum in Art Direction, Graphic Design or similar field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Proficiency in page and file organization, ensuring efficient document sharing and file hand-offs.
- Experience with Workfront or other job tracking software preferred.
- Social and video experience preferred.
- Experience with large-scale, global brands preferred.
- Design Firm/Agency Experience preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIRED: BA/BS/BFA In Graphic Design And/or MA/MFA.
LOCATION: El Segundo, CA. Hires are expected to be in-office regularly.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $76,800.00 and $110,000.00.
This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
