ROLE

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. This role involves managing the software development lifecycle, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
2. Project Management: Drive the software development lifecycle from planning to execution and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
3. Solution Architecture: Define, refine, and document future-fit Solution Architecture patterns and guidelines. Ensure the quality, commercial compliance, and technical integrity of delivered solutions.
4. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
5. Best Practices: Implement and promote best practices for software development, testing, and deployment. Manage technical debt and prioritize technical improvements.
6. Agile Practices: Apply and advocate agile principles in managing projects and teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
7. Cloud and Technical Skills: Oversee cloud-native solutions and AWS architecture implementations, ensuring scalability and resilience.
8. Performance Management: Provide feedback, support professional growth, and conduct performance evaluations for team members.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

1. 5+ years of experience in web technologies development.
2. Proven experience in managing software development teams.
3. 3+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineering manager designing enterprise-grade architectures.
4. Expertise in cloud-native solutions and/or container technologies.
5. Strong IT technical skills in Java and JavaScript.
6. AWS cloud architecture certification (preferred).
7. Strong understanding and application of agile principles.
8. Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
9. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
10. Experience with modern software development methodologies and tools.
