One of the critical tools that the Bluetooth SIG delivers to its member customers is the Profile Tuning Suite (PTS). The PTS helps members develop, test and qualify their Bluetooth products and ensures that compliant and interoperable products are available to end users. The Bluetooth SIG is looking to engage a highly motivated engineer to join the PTS team as a Sr. Software Development Engineer II. As part of this team the candidate will be expected to lead the design and development of the next generation of software tools.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Enable design, development and test of the Bluetooth SIG suite of compliance and interoperability tools in a fast-paced, Agile environment
- Enable continuous learning and improvement in the design, development and maintenance of the Bluetooth SIG software products
- Exercise strong theoretical and practical understanding of traditional and emergent technologies, methodologies and paradigms to enable market differentiation and positive long term impact
- Enable the application of Test-Driven Development methodologies to support Continuous Integration and frequent delivery of customer value through working software
- Enable the diagnosis complex issues and implementation of solutions
- Evaluate existing software development methods and work to enhance them to improve quality and performance
- Advocate and practice software development best practices
- Provide mentoring to all team members
- Provide consultations to senior individuals and management
- Collaborate with internal and external teams/groups to drive clarity and deliver tools
- Work under broad direction towards long-range goals
- Able to travel worldwide up to 10% of the time
- 9+ years software development experience using C/C++
- Ability to execute as a leader and provide innovative solutions to unusually complex problems.
- Ability to determine appropriateness of further effort in area under study.
- Proven track record in delivering customer-focused, high-quality content on time
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of Computer Science and engineering principles. Expert knowledge of structured software design.
- Ability to learn new tools, technologies, and processes quickly and independently
- Passion for technology with strong customer empathy
- Ability to make decisions that impact critical goals of Bluetooth SIG
- Ability to mentor a technical team and teaching technical concepts.
- Highly skilled in scheduling, product planning and in analyzing feasibility of new products.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively in an international business environment
- Accountable team player that collaborates effectively in a team environment
- Experience in developing and working with protocol stacks
- Strong background in embedded systems programming
- Knowledge of Bluetooth core, protocol or profile technology
- Experience in Agile development
- Experience in Continuous Integration
- Experience in Test Driven Development
