RF Systems Engineer

Description

We are seeking an RF Systems Engineer to support a SATCOM program. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of satellite communications system fundamentals and principles and be able to perform engineering analyses and document results in support of operational activities and test equipment deployments.

Our team provides operational support for Systems Engineering/Integration, Mission Planning, and Business Operations. The responsibilities include technical design, operations, mission planning, and business operations for the full life cycle of customer specific operations.

• Competence in the use of tools for researching, planning, and tasking of SATCOM activities
• Support testing and integration of waveforms/devices in lab and operational environments
• Day-to-day test and operational support for a variety of SATCOM related activities
• System performance monitoring and characterization along with troubleshooting and optimization
• Support new electronic device technologies and software defined radio (SDR) developments

Qualifications

• Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph
• BS in engineering, computer systems, or relevant technical area and 2+ years as a systems engineer
• 2+ years SATCOM experience
• CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required
• Understanding of satellite communications fundamentals and principles
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and effectively
