Integration and Test Engineer

Today’s aircraft contribute around 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.

JetZero is developing a blended wing aircraft. It uses 50% less fuel and can accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel.

This is why we’re hiring an Integration and Test Engineer. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination management and end-to-end integration delivery of components and systems on the aircraft.

What You'll Do

1. The position will require cross-disciplinary collaboration, requirements analysis, understanding system design and architecture, verification and validation, and fault diagnosis/troubleshooting.
2. Support development of integration schedule tracking and outlook of critical program milestones while communicating project status, risks, and issues.
3. Define, coordinate and control the functional and physical interfaces between the systems and the vehicle.
4. Involve working unusually complex technical problems and leading multidisciplinary/multi-system integration efforts.
5. Develop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, and monitoring of requirements, processes, risks, issues and recommendations for solutions.

What You'll Bring

1. BS or MS degree from an accredited college or university in engineering (mechanical)
2. 10+ years of experience performing mechanical and electrical component/systems integration within aviation industry is required.
3. 5+ years of experience in aircraft structures and/or systems integration preferred.
4. Supported diverse, complex and cross function technical integration projects.
5. Prior experience with conceptual design, testing, validation, and integration of aircraft systems including engines, landing gear, fuel, electrical, harness design, hydraulics and environmental control systems.
6. Familiarity with practical application of DO-160
7. Working knowledge of aerospace engineering processes, certification requirements, and familiarity with flight test operations (FAR Part 21/25, Microsoft Project software, CAD (NX, Solidworks) and PLM Systems (TeamCenter))
8. Excellent communication skills and a self-starter that takes initiative without supervision.

Salary Range: $150,000-$180,000
