Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. As a Data Engineer with a strong foundation in dbt, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and data models that support our organization's analytics and reporting needs.

The Role

  1. Data Modeling: Design and implement robust data models using dbt, ensuring data integrity and consistency across various data sources.
  2. Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources into our data warehouse.
  3. dbt Development: Leverage dbt to create reusable and maintainable data transformations, tests, and documentation.
  4. Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  6. Optimization: Continuously optimize data pipelines and models for performance and scalability.
  7. Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, models, and processes.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role.
  3. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
  4. In-depth knowledge of dbt and its best practices.
  5. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  6. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Core Skills

  1. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  2. Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks.
