Aero-Mod is an established company that has been manufacturing waste water treatment systems at the same location in Manhattan since 1981. We are looking for a motivated individual with honorable character to join our drafting and design team. This team is responsible for creating proposals, designs and shop drawings, and complete submittals for wastewater treatment systems. Our team works directly with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and manufacturing on a daily basis to enable the design and production of Aero-Mod products.
Requirements:
- Pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Graduation from High School or GED equivalent required.
- Graduation from an accredited Technical School Program or an Associates of Technology Degree in CAD Technology preferred.
- Experience with 3D modeling software preferred
- Must have two (3) years of progressively responsible experience with building CAD design.
- Strong math and analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work with little supervision, and ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
- Must be detailed oriented with a mechanical aptitude.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of Aero-Mod.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
- Understand and Apply Geometric, Dimensioning, and Tolerancing Principles
- Establish personal habits and practices allowing you to work with minimal supervision and efficiently schedule and manage time
- Create and update standard documents, including typicals, plans, sections, and details
- Adhere to standards set for the projects, including meeting customer project deadlines, using approved software.
- Perform calculations and dimensioning, considering building materials, structural elements, and installation requirements
- Work with project managers, and other staff members to support and aid in the manufacturing and construction of projects
- Make revisions to detailed drawings, model drawings, and site plans, including adding, deleting, or modifying details
- Ability to generate professional-quality plans that are accurate and consistent with established standards
- Serve as an information source on planning and design of equipment installations: equipment and plant engineering.
- Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (like drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and /performance guarantees) for future reference.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third party items and services data base. Review and modify information with supervision by the Drafting Manager. Make data available to sales engineers and project managers.
- Work with Drafting Manager to establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on demonstrated experience level
