Summary :
We are seeking an experienced WordPress Lead Developer to manage custom theme and plugin development, optimization, and troubleshooting. This role requires advanced skills in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL, along with familiarity in using front-end frameworks, handling REST APIs, and version control with Git. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of web performance, SEO, accessibility standards, and WordPress security. This is a hybrid role based in Dallas, TX, with a requirement for three days onsite per week.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead development of custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project scope and requirements.
• Ensure high-quality code, performance, and security standards.
• Troubleshoot and optimize WordPress sites for speed, performance, and SEO.
• Manage version control using Git and deployment processes.
• Provide technical leadership in project planning and delivery.

Required Skills :

• 10+ years of WordPress development experience.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Experience with WordPress REST API and third-party integrations.
• Expertise in custom theme and plugin development.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
• Strong knowledge of web performance optimization and SEO.
• Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Experience with WordPress multisite, WooCommerce, and other major plugins.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
