Java Software Engineer

Soni Resources' client is seeking a talented Java Engineer to contribute to the development of their software solutions for global tier-one financial clients. As a key member of the data development team, you will collaborate with colleagues across continents to design, build, and maintain robust applications that address the complex challenges of the financial markets.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain high-quality Java-based applications
2. Collaborate with global teams to understand and implement business requirements
3. Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code
4. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and industry trends

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
2. 3+ years of experience in Java-based application development
3. 3+ years of experience with SQL databases and integration (e.g., PostgreSQL)
4. 3+ years of experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, JMockit)
5. 2+ years of experience with CD/CI processes and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Artifactory)
6. 2+ years of experience with Linux operating systems
7. 2+ years of experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python)
8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
9. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
10. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
11. Adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation:

$135,000 a year

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.
