Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a Building Performance Engineer.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing energy analysis and building performance design consulting for commercial new construction projects and major renovations for high performance and zero net energy and carbon projects
- Understanding of current ASHRAE guidelines and communicate to clients
- Reading and understanding construction documents, floor plans, specifications, and detail
- Documenting and submitting projects for LEED, permit, United Facility Criteria, or Federal Guiding Principles
- Responsible for timely completion of specific tasks within assigned projects
- Prepares and monitor budgets for specific tasks within assigned projects
- Attends client meetings
The successful candidate must have:
- A bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering or architecture from an accredited college or university
- At least 4 years of relevant experience
- LEED AP certified
- Building energy modeling experience using OpenStudio / EnergyPlus
- Building information model and CAD experience (REVIT and Sketchup)
Desirable qualifications:
- PE License or BEMP certification
- Ruby or Python experience
- Rhino / Grasshopper
- Ladybug tools / Pollination

Pay range depending on experience: $90,000 - $120,000 DOE
