What You'll Do
As a Sr. Project Engineer, you will provide project management from scope conception through engineering, fabrication and execution for key Nitrogen projects. Duties will include:
- Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety. (Ensure SAO, JSA, Take 5's, stretching, and all safety rules are being completed.)
- Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
- Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values.
- Supports Business Improvement initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility
- Manage medium scale projects, Larger MOC's, FI or Capex projects
- Assist Operations as needed
- Prepares and delivers training and Mentors junior Engineers
- Develop equipment designs and specifications for procurement
- Evaluate prospective equipment suppliers and contractors
- Contribute to process & equipment solutions and supplier development efforts
- Deal with broad cross-functional technical issues
- Understand and adopt all appropriate regulatory & safety needs to programs
- Deliver the projects as promised to achieve financial targets
- Participate in HSE studies such as Job Safety Analysis, HAZOPs, Process Hazard Analysis, and Management of Change
- Evaluate prospective equipment based on process needs and application of best practice solutions.
- BS degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- 10 years in a related industry with a proven track record in project management, problem solving, startup and commissioning.
- Knowledge with the selection of process equipment such as pumps, vessels, and heat exchangers.
- Familiarity with automated process control in manufacturing operations, including temperature, flow, level, pressure, and pH instrumentation.
