We are hiring Project Engineers to support a NAVSEA program for Ship Integrity and Performance Engineering based in Washington, DC in a hybrid capacity.
What will you do?
- Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
- Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.
- Provides technical support for the engineering process.
- Additionally, collaborates with other engineering departments and coordinates their disciplines to the development of the project.
- Designs, implements, and communicates, an operational plan for completing the project.
- Monitors progress and performance against the project plan.
- Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
- Identifies, develops, and gathers resources necessary to complete the project.
- Prepares engineering designs and work specifications.
- Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts. Selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
- A specialist on complex technical and business matters.
- Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group.
Do you have what it takes?
- At least 10 years of experience and Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $100,000-$145,000 which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
