Description

The iOS developer is responsible for developing iOS applications for mobile devices (phones and tablets) using Objective-C or Swift. They must have a minimum of three years' experience with building and deploying iOS apps in an enterprise or consumer setting. They'll work closely with a team of designers and other engineers to prototype patient-facing experiences. They will be committed to collaborative problem solving, implementing innovative designs, and rapidly iterating on the application based on testing and feedback.


Responsibilities

  1. Design and build applications for the iOS platform
  2. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  3. Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
  4. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  5. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

Skills

  1. Proficient with Objective-C or Swift, and Cocoa Touch
  2. Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
  3. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  4. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
  5. Experience using Microsoft's App Center or Apple's TestFlight for deployment/testing is a plus
  6. Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
  7. Understanding of Apple's design principles and interface guidelines
  8. Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
  9. Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools
  10. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  11. Knack for benchmarking and optimization
  12. Proficient understanding of code versioning - Familiarity with continuous integration
