GLSS is seeking an Electronics Tech II to support efforts at Fort Cavazos, TX.
Military experience is a plus. This is not a teleworking position.
Job Description:
Provides ASET IV system support to the 120th IN Brigade and its FMS Client(s), to include but not limited to mission, operations, maintenance and repair support of ASET IV equipment, test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE), and spares. ASET IV technicians will perform the contract effort and provide full-time support as needed during peak training periods at all training locations identified during the period of performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Operation of ASET IV System, Vehicles, Tactical Engagement Simulation System (TESS) equipment employed by the OPFOR Detachment, other OPFOR training aids, and government owned or leased vehicles, to include, but not limited to, the HUMMV series of vehicles and civilian pickup trucks and sedans.
  • Be certified or possess the ability to be certified to operate Government owned/leased vehicles and equipment.
  • Understand the deployment of the ASET IV System, representative replication effects to aircraft survivability systems, limitations of the aircraft systems it effects and monitor system performance and condition by observing maintenance log(s).
  • Assisting with equipment performance evaluations to ensure training conditions are met and local/remote training missions are accomplished as scheduled.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the operating principles of the Sustainment Training Solution, recognize critical training issues as instructed by Lead Technicians' and develop training support scenarios to replicate threat systems.
  • Participate in training and task reviews to provide input and advice on ASET-IV sustainment training capabilities, solutions to address tasks, assist in the development/presentation of an After Action Review (AAR) when requested.
  • Coordinate required support, and provide requested technical assistance by attending planning sessions and scheduled meetings as necessary.
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on the ASET IV system, subsystems, components, spares, related equipment, and vehicles to Army and technical publication standards, to include operator level electrical, hydraulic, generator maintenance, HUMMV family of vehicles and civilian leased vehicles.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, repair, or replace most of the ASET IV electrical and Sub-system components, repair malfunctioning parts, as directed; including bench check, reinstallation, and verification of the part, ensuring all indications and functions are in accordance with applicable technical specification.
  • Exercise judgement and independence in determining solutions to maintenance.
  • Repair problems and complete assignments, referring only the most unusual and difficult problems to the Program Lead.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Have five or more years' experience training personnel and maintaining military vehicles and systems.
