Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electro Mechanical Engineer at Phiston Technologies in Miramar, FL. The Electro Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for conducting electrical and mechanical engineering tasks, analyzing data, and working with electromechanical systems. The engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, and implementation of new products and improvements to existing products.


Responsibilities

  • Create 3D models and provide accurate, detailed 2D drawings on mechanical and electrical parts and assemblies using SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM employing the Phiston Technologies Design standards.
  • Work under the supervision of R&D and Manufacturing leadership on new designs and requested changes on legacy drawings thru an ECN/CN process.
  • Developing and installing machine programs using automation software and custom coding languages.
  • Provide detailed product designs as required; drawings comply with engineering drawing standards (ISO/ANSI) for manufacturability. All drawings have complete tolerance schemes, both in Imperial and SI units.
  • Maintain revision levels for all drawings.
  • Working knowledge of sheet metal design, electronic packaging, material-component evaluation and selection, reliability, mechanism design, instrument design, and automation.
  • Create electrical schematics, interconnect diagrams, and wire harnesses.
  • Knowledge of test equipment and tool design.
  • Responsible for BOM creation and component specifications.
  • Promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to write proposals, test plans, and procedures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ Years of SolidWorks
  • 5+ Years of PLC programming
  • Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering skills
  • Experience with electricity and electromechanical systems
  • Analytical skills for data analysis and problem-solving
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for data security
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
