General Description

Potbelly Sandwich Shop, celebrated for its delightful sandwiches and cozy ambiance, is on the lookout for an experienced Front End Developer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our digital ordering platform, crafting a smooth and engaging online experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and refine user-facing features utilizing React.js and Next.js.
2. Craft maintainable code in JavaScript with TypeScript, adhering to best coding practices.
3. Seamlessly integrate with RESTful APIs for dynamic content management and data retrieval.
4. Conduct comprehensive unit testing using Jest to ensure code quality and functionality.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to grasp end-user requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
6. Enhance application performance and scalability.
7. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's collective knowledge.

Required Skills And Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
2. At least 3 years of experience in front-end development.
3. Proficiency in JavaScript with TypeScript.
4. Extensive expertise in building applications using React.js and Next.js.
5. Demonstrated experience with RESTful APIs.
6. Solid understanding and experience in unit testing, particularly with Jest.
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile work environment, juggling multiple projects.

NICE TO HAVE

1. Experience with cloud services, especially AWS, Fargate, and Lambda.
2. Familiarity with UI testing through Jest.
3. Prior experience in the QSR industry.
4. Knowledge of specific industry technologies like Olo, Paytronix, or similar.
5. Experience with Contentful or similar content management systems.
