Our client is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer based in Redwood City, CA.
This role is focused on empowering building materials suppliers with innovative technology to bring transactions online and enhance experiences for contractors and homeowners.
The ideal candidate for this Frontend Engineer role will make significant contributions to the software used by clients, introduce systems to improve team velocity, set and enforce engineering quality standards, mentor teammates, and collaborate with product and design teams to define project goals.
Responsibilities
- You'll make significant individual contributions that get used instantly & heavily by our clients who depend on our software to run their businesses.
- You'll leverage your orthogonal expertise to introduce abstractions and systems that improve the team's velocity.
- You'll raise the bar for engineering quality by setting and enforcing standards.
- You'll mentor teammates to help them grow as architects & engineers.
- You'll work closely with product & design teammates and our clients to collectively define what we're building.
Candidate Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- You give positive & constructive in-the-moment feedback to your teammates and enjoy receiving the same.
- You collaborate well with engineering teammates and cross-functionally—especially working through natural tension with designers and product managers.
- You have written production frontend software using TypeScript & React.
- You're excited to work at least a couple of days a week in-person at our office in Redwood City.
Nice-to-haves
- You have written backend software using Go.
- You have familiarity with construction or building materials.
- You have worked in a fast-paced startup environment.
Compensation: $200,000 - $244,000 base + equity
