Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview:

We are hiring an experienced mechanical engineer to own end-to-end product development for Exowatt products. You will work alongside a small team of mechanical engineers, thermal engineers, optics engineers, and product owners to successfully bring our product to market.

What You'll Do:

1. Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision.
2. Own hardware design from research to concept generation to product launch.
3. Build prototypes, test features, analyze failures in order to maximize outputs - continuously optimizing in order to never leave energy on the table.
4. Create excellent technical documentation - slide decks, testing plans and reports, procedures, assembly, vendor specifications, and statements of work, etc.
5. Assist in recruiting and interviewing efforts to help build our amazing team.

What You Have:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of relevant work experience.
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
4. Proficiency with mechanical CAD.
5. Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, probability, and optimization.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 a year
