LHH Recruitment Solutions has an Automation/Industrial Electrician - TRAVEL REQUIRED - for our client in the Victor, NY area. This direct hire role focuses on leading projects consisting of, but not limited to, assembly, installations, decommissioning’s, testing, and maintenance of various electrical and automation equipment. This hands-on role will require some overtime and approximately 30% travel will be required to client facilities for oversight of implementation and any issues resolution. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with a vocational certificate or associate degree or higher in related field. Please requirements below prior to resume submittal.
Salary range: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
Responsibilities:
- Study and interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches, manuals, drawings, etc. in order to successfully determine dimensions for equipment such as cabinets, setup requirements and sequence of operation.
- Collaborate with other personnel, engineering, production staff, programmers, etc. – to determine and resolve any wiring or assembly issues.
- Design, suggest, implement, and complete modifications to as-built prints and collaborate with engineers on anything required to achieve project success.
- Communicate thoroughly, on time, and in full to management to represent the organization professionally.
- Travel expectation of up to 30% required.
- Able and willing to work overtime as needed.
- Assist in wire-way, terminal blocks, etc. purchasing suggestions.
- Be accountable for panel builds including but not limited to; drill and tap holes, mounting components, wire devices, etc.
- Responsible for pneumatic air prep units and valve banks.
- Responsible for ensuring proper machine operation.
- Aid and assist in machine troubleshooting and repair as needed.
Requirements:
- Certificate or at minimum associates degree in electrical or industrial engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years in electrical automation experience.
- Must have experience in analysis, problem solving as well as design thinking driven.
- Must have experience in;
- Applying basic electrical fundamentals
- Report writing
- Time management
- Blueprints/schematics interpretations
- Math skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
