AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.


We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Front end engineer to join our cross-functional team of software engineers, product managers, UX, and data engineers to help drive our vision of building an integrated and scalable solution for our Finance community. As a team, we are always looking for ways to drive innovation within the Finance community through automation and building self-service solutions for our customers. This is the role for you if you have a passion for continuously improving customer experience, are motivated by challenging problems in developing and scaling highly responsive customer-facing applications, and love writing great code.


Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Help define front end architectures, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall user experience.
  2. Contribute to defining best practices for front end development.
  3. Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, and generalist Software Development Engineers on the same team to help deliver the product.
  4. Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement as a member of an autonomous team.
  5. Take responsibility for technical problem-solving, creatively meeting product goals, and developing best practices.
  6. Design and develop React-based web applications and leverage component libraries such as MUI.
  7. Write high-quality, efficient, testable code in React JS.
  8. Mentor and support the growth of other developers.

Basic Qualifications

- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience.

- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node.
