DescriptionLeidos Dynetics, is seeking a talented Project Engineer to support Defense and Civil Space Systems in the Space Division. You will be required to support multiple tasks in parallel, productively contribute to and lead team environments, and communicate effectively to management, coworkers, and customers. You must also be self-motivated and highly organized with a focus on managing customer expectations with a constant goal of generating high quality products that exceed stakeholder expectations.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Project Engineer will have a key impact on program execution and will:Directly support program management office in successful execution of all aspects of the program(s) including cost, schedule, procurement, integration, resource managementWork with technical leads to define and evaluate resources and schedule required to complete defined workParticipate in Make/Buy decisionsParticipate in applicable IPT meetings to assure technical integrationParticipate in review/preparation of variances, exceptions and/or waivers to requirementsAssist the systems engineering team with requirements management to assess conflicts, gaps, and adequate flow down and decomposition of the program requirementsParticipate in design/test/certification reviewsOther duties as assignedBasic QualificationsBS degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of two (2) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and less than 2 years of direct engineering experienceDemonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work in a team, and develop cooperative relationshipsAbility to track multiple tasks and prioritize work independentlySelf-motivation and quick learner to adapt to the broad array of subjects and issues encounteredDemonstrated experience with Microsoft Office software tools, including Project and VisioCandidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or be willing to relocatePreferred QualificationsProject Engineering experience/background or a desire to learn project engineeringExperience with supply chain management and ability to work with suppliers to help them meet both hardware and non-hardware deliverable requirementsHave experience in mechanical manufacturing environments, testing, and/or product designOriginal Posting Date:2024-09-25While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
