Perform software development, refine requirements, write, test, debug, maintain, and release test software that instructs a computer to accomplish certain tasks, such as saving information and performing calculations. The Software Engineer may also be responsible for managing software development infrastructure and providing the appropriate level of functional and non-functional documentation to meet the product and engineering requirements. As necessary, this position may be called upon to assist in performing on-site client work related to consulting projects or provide technical support as required.

What you will do

1. Create viable software products that allow business units to meet company goals and objectives.
2. Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software applications.
3. Support and/or install software applications/operating systems related to the role.
4. Participate in testing processes, test review, analysis, witnessing, and certification of software.
5. Support the technical design process by participating in the analysis of technical requirements.
6. Participate in the execution and documentation of tests and test suites.
7. Embrace DevOps philosophy of testing and automation.
8. Provide first-level guidance and direction to other Software Engineer colleagues.
9. Plan work for others to meet project deadlines; set priorities to accommodate the needs of users.
10. Conduct feasibility studies on strategic and tactical plans.
11. Perform complex technical analysis of software, hardware, and infrastructure components.
12. Frequently interact with subordinate team leaders, outside customers, and functional peer groups at management levels.
13. May be responsible for product goal documentation regarding planning and scheduling responsible activities for product releases.
14. Assist or lead in implementing analyses that will identify requirements related to people, processes & technology, and the SDLC.
15. Perform code quality reviews of peers and junior developers.
16. May participate in architectural designs and reviews and lead committees.

Must-Have*

1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
2. Minimum 7 years’ experience working within Software Product Development.
3. Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a software design or architect capacity.
4. Minimum 3 years’ working with cloud software deployment.
5. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in DevOps environments.

Skills and Knowledge

1. Master's in computer science preferred.
2. Advanced ability to read, interpret, and perform software development activities including research, programming, consulting, functional, and process documentation.
3. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
4. Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to perform above tasks as well as working with internal and external personnel as required.
5. Must possess the ability to read, interpret, and perform complex software development.
6. Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) Experience preferred.
7. Level 3 software practices, Agile, DevOps, Web development, and databases.
8. Level 3 knowledge of software industry standards, SDLC, Lean, Agile, integration, DevOps, Web development, and databases.
9. Good cloud and SaaS platform development experience.
10. Azure DevOps automated and continuous build tools, including: DotNet Build and MSBuild.
11. Comfortable using Visual Studio or VS Code and NuGet package management tools.
12. Experience using source code control repositories, preferably GitHub.
13. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
14. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
15. May lead and direct the work of others.
16. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
17. May report directly to a project lead or manager.

Compensation

Starting base salary: $101,231 - $172,355 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
