3-Phase Installation Electrician - Passive Field Engineer

Job Title: 3-Phase Installation Electricians

A Leading International Telecommunications Company is seeking 3-Phase Installation Electricians who will be part of their Passive Field Engineering team.

Location: Onsite | Cape Town | Salary: R25k

Role Description:

1. Maintain sites as set down by Customer according to scope of work.
2. Meet the daily/weekly/monthly target per county as set down by the Customer.
3. Ensure tools, vehicles, test equipment, laptops, and cellphones are looked after and checked for condition, ensuring all are placed on a list and signed for.
4. Ensure compliance with and adhere to Health and Safety requirements.
5. Ensure updates are done on access to a site, and when a site service is completed on Work-Force Management (WFM) tool.
6. Ensure that all environmental alarms are cleared during a site visit.
7. Ensure that all tasks “in sync” are submitted as per IFS requirements.
8. Ensure that all required activities are completed as per the scope of work, either on an “A” service, “B” service, or “C” Type.
9. Ensure that all required pictures are submitted as per the scope of work, either on an “A” service, “B” service, or “C” Type.
10. Ensure the site access procedure is followed at all times.
11. The PFE will follow the Air-conditioning and free cooling procedure.
12. Adhere to QC, as indicated in the scope of work; report back on any deviations during a site service; SSF (Sub Standard Form) to be also submitted on Work-force Management (WFM) tool, if required, only on all services.
13. Manage spares and consumables.
14. Provide a high level of electrical repairs and maintenance.
15. Issue a CoC or eCOC for the electrical work.
16. Maintain site quality as per client standards.
17. Manage and keep a van store by returning faulty equipment with fault reports and receiving new equipment on a regular basis.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• N6 Electronics/Electrical/Computer Certification.
• Wireman’s Licence qualification.
• Installation Electrician (IE) qualification.
• Code EB: Driver's License.
• 3 – 5 Years Passive Maintenance Experience in the Telecommunications Environment.

Additional Requirements:

• National Diploma in Electrical will be advantageous.
• Air-conditioning maintenance and repairs.
