Job Purpose
The Senior Internet/Intranet Webmaster is responsible for designing, updating, and maintaining DPW’s internet and intranet sites. This involves creating new web pages, ensuring that all content is current and accurate, and collaborating with content providers to deliver engaging and compliant online content. The Webmaster also ensures that all websites adhere to accessibility standards and provides technical support for web-based issues, including troubleshooting and user training 0700-1600, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities
The job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Designing websites, generating and revising web pages, working with content contributors, and replying to user comments for internet, extranet, and intranet sites.
- Ensure web sites and products are compliant.
- Onsite web design and operation services on websites for DPW.
- Providing training to users.
- Developing SOPs and guides for website content management.
- Work well with DPW leadership.
- Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Assisting in the development of new initiatives.
- Carry out special tasks at Management's direction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and maintaining websites.
- Experience working with HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
- Knowledge of Section 508 compliance standards.
- CompTIA Security+ required.
