GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Designs, develops,
integrates and tests hardware and electronic components to be applied to and
integrated with engineering, scientific and requirements. Apply appropriate standards, processes,
procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support
hardware systems from the board level to system level.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


Lead and perform detailed design of test control
apparatus and equipment


Develop schematics and drawings to support fabrication
with CAD tools (schematic capture, timing simulation, and place and route
tools)


Lead research, design, develop and test of electronic
components, products and systems


Qualify and test developed hardware, test plans and
procedures, and test systems


Act as Project Engineer for assigned development
programs to include: researching and organizing system specifications to ensure
compliance with the requirements; developing design review material and
presenting at formal meetings; and managing all aspects of the design and
development process


Consult with software engineers for hardware and
software integration


Ensure all designs are completed on schedule, are under
budget, and sustain manufacturing reliability


Perform digital circuit design utilizing programmable
logic (FPGAs, etc.).


Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours
100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD

Required Experience:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


BS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (BSEE), or
related technical field


A minimum of 3 years of experience in the aerospace
or related industry


Intermediate MS Office experience


Experience
with hardware design and development of embedded microprocessor systems
experience


Experience
with FPGA integration into digital circuit card designs to ensure electrical
integrity in embedded applications


Working
knowledge of military standards


Working
knowledge of digital and analog RF design principles and practices strongly
preferred


Experience
with the processes and procedures for ISO 9001 / AS9100 compliance

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Office and production environment


Ability to stand and sit for long
periods of time


Ability to perform repetitive
motion (keyboarding, etc.)


Ability to lift up to 25 pounds


Ability to travel up to 10%, foreign and/or domestic
