Position: .Net Developer

Position Summary:

Our organization is seeking a .NET C# developer to join our team supporting the Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group (MCCOG) in the development and deployment of Rapid Application Development (RAD) applications. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee who is part of our organization's team of developers responsible for the supporting, development, and deployment of new modules to an existing, customized system vulnerabilities reporting system for the MCCOG.

Clearance Eligibility: Active DoD - Secret

Salary: The salary offered will depend on education, certifications, length and relevance of work history, and professional experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work in an agile environment and participate in daily stand-ups/scrum.
  2. Adhere to product build and release schedules and strategies.
  3. Design, write, test, troubleshoot, and document application code to successfully deliver project-based work using .Net tools and technologies.
  4. Code software components, units, and modules that meet product specifications and development schedules for customers.
  5. Perform unit, system, and interface testing associated with the application and its corresponding system interface areas, as well as provide guidance and assistance to client staff to support these testing activities.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the development team and project managers to deliver solutions that surpass client expectations while meeting project timelines.
  7. Learn new technologies and be aware of industry standards, best practices, and trends.
  8. Contribute to a variety of roles in software development life cycle, systems analysis, architecture, design, development, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  9. Train and support clients on using solutions built using .Net tools and technologies.
  10. Develop and update project-related process documents, artifacts, and training materials.
  11. Maintain the currently deployed system, as well as full life cycle development activities ranging from development of minor enhancements to development of major version releases and revisions.
  12. Participate in designing new organization-wide Web-based solutions and applications in a multi-tiered, highly available, enterprise environment utilizing the following technologies:

  • Develop reports in C#, report templates, and back-end database reporting configuration.
  • Create custom workflows, forms, and web applications.
  • Support user account and access management, incident response, and responding to informational requests.

    Education and Certification Requirements:

    Compliant with DoD 8570.01-M IAT level II - GSEC, Security+, SCNP, or CCNA-Security. Professional series Certification within the product group technology scope (e.g., MCA)

    Background and Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in developing C#, ASP.net, SQL Server, and Visual Studio.
    • 5+ years of demonstrated experience operating and maintaining deployed systems for full life cycle development activities and experience directing the development of web-based solutions using development software used in the environment.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • General office environment. Work is generally sedentary but may require movement about the office for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
    • 0-10% travel possible
    • Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages
    • Occasional movement of small articles up to 10 lbs.
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
    • Continually operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
    • Occasionally required to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
    • Continually required to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
    • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
