Irving Knight are currently partnered with a leading manufacturing organisation who are seeking an E&I Technician for their facility in the greater Reading, PA area.


This role covers 1st shift, with two week on call rotations so candidates need to be located within a 45 minute drive.


This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial settings. This includes ensuring the proper functionality of control systems, motors, wiring, sensors, and other electronic devices. The E&I Technician collaborates with engineers and other technical staff to optimize the performance of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Calibrate instruments and perform troubleshooting.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams and engineers for repairs and upgrades.

Requirements:

  • Technical diploma or certification in electrical and instrumentation preferred.
  • 3+ years of electrical experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and HMI.
