Job Title: Professional Engineer - Transportation Design
We're looking for a Professional Engineer to lead the design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for both public and private clients.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the design and coordination of transportation projects, focusing on roadway, drainage, and utility systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver top-quality projects with unmatched client service.
- Perform tasks such as 3D modeling, roadway design calculations , quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation.
- Assist with proposals, project budgets, schedules, and public involvement presentations.
- Oversee and mentor EITs or Technicians.
- As you progress, you may also manage entire projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining strong communication with clients and subconsultants.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar field and 5+ years of experience in transportation design, preferably with TxDOT or municipal clients.
- Experience reading and understanding construction plans and technical documents, with proficiency in design software like MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer.
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- PE license in Texas or the ability to obtain one within six months.
- Strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, and a collaborative mindset.
